If you saw the first movie, Wives on Strike then you might be vaguely interested in seeing its sequel, Wives on Strike: The Revolution.
The first movie had a lot of our favorite actresses and made a beautifully artistic effort at the use of comedy to trash a very serious issue in this part of the world – the child bride.
The sequel however targets something equally important – domestic violence and it seems OmoniOboli may have hit the mark with the cast and crew on this one.
Featuring additions to the former cast such as funny woman Sola Sobowale, Toyin Abraham, the king of Nigerian memes, OdunladeAdekola and comedian turned actress, Chigurl the trailer promises a good time while tackling the need to protect women who are being physically assaulted by their partners.
Once again, the women are holding out on their men until something is done about domestic violence and while they are at it, the five market women we have come to love from the first movie have been given the opportunity of a lifetime on a sponsored trip abroad.
