The Common Sense Senator as he is fondly referred to by his supporters, Ben Murray Bruce is speaking out about the lack of access roads in his state of origin, Bayelsa.
According to him, the people who live in the state commute mostly by water which is currently unsafe.
Spending time in Bayelsa, Senator Bruce visited communities such as Odioma, Twon Brass, Egwema, Sangana and Akassa and concluded that it is a sad state of affairs in those areas.
‘It is sad that in this modern day, there are no access roads in these communities. My people only commute via water which is very insecure. Our waterways need to be secured and shoreline protection needs to be looked into to stop the growing erosion’.
