Job seekers have been advised by the Nigerian Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) to scrutinise job openings properly so they don’t become victims of fraudsters.
The corporation has put out a statement to let the public know that they are not currently in the process of recruiting despite the adverts that have been published in the media.
Ndu Ughamadu, the corporation’s spokesman has discredited the adverts currently running saying that NNPC is recruiting. The advertisements allegedly signed by Maikanti Baru, group managing director, and Anibor Kragha, chief operating officer, refineries, is being circulated and seems authentic but has been called a scam.
“The NNPC management under the leadership of Maikanti Baru would sustain the prevailing culture of transparency and accountability which has witnessed the conduct of open public bidding in sourcing for contractors and suppliers of goods and services for its day-to-day operations, including recruitment exercises, stressing that NNPC will advertise all vacant positions in national newspapers whenever it was ready to recruit,” he said.
