Governor of Kaduna state, Nasir el-Rufai has said that he and his deputy will be running for a second term as president Buhari has given them his endorsement.
The governor said this during a live radio interview where he said he sought the president’s approval after some party stakeholders gave their go ahead for his second term ambitions.
“It was after I finished briefing him that he (the president) gave me the nod to seek re-election together with my deputy,” he said.
Talking about the crisis in the Kaduna state All Progressive Congress (APC) chapter el-Rufai said the trouble is being made by people who think mischief is the best way to move forward.
“Very soon we are going to invite every stakeholder to a meeting and allow anybody who feels he or she is shortchanged to express his grievances,” he said.
“We are democrats and we are ready to adjust, if we erred.”
