Do you remember the viral video of Ghanaian footballer who absent mindedly thanked not only his wife but his girlfriend too during a post match interview?
“Thank you for this, I appreciate my fans. My wife and girlfriend…I mean my wife, sorry to say.”
Retracing his steps, Anas during the live interview quickly said “I’m so sorry…I love you so much, I love you so much from my heart!”
Well, the star of that video, Mohammed Anas striker for South African side Free State Stars has come out to say he was referring to his daughter when he mistakenly said girlfriend.
Clearing the air on BBC, Anas said he did not have a girlfriend and that he fondly called his daughter his girlfriend.
“My family knows that I call my daughter my girlfriend. That’s what I was talking about. I don’t have a girlfriend. I love her so much. She’s given me two beautiful children. She is fine. She knows what kind of man I am so I am not worried.”
Do you believe him? Or is he just trying to manage a bad situation?
