Senator representing Bayelsa east, Ben Murray Bruce has asked President Muhammadu Buhari to acknowledge his predecessor, Goodluck Jonathan for the actualization of the Kaduna rail project.
Murray said this after President Buhari inaugurated rail vehicles for the Kaduna-Abuja train service at Rigasa train station in Kaduna. The president hopped on a train from Rigasa to Kakuri on his way to inaugurate Nigeria’s first Inland Dry Port in Kaduna.
In a series of tweet, Murray reminded the president that he was able to make the trip by rail because Jonathan did not abandon the rail project during his administration.
“I hope President Muhammadu Buhari remembers to say thank you to former President Goodluck Jonathan for the train ride he enjoyed in Kaduna,” the tweet read.
“Some of us haven’t forgotten that that achievement was entirely the handiwork of the Jonathan government.
“Nigeria should give honour to whom honour is due.”
