There have been rumours that America’s first lady Melania Trump hated the idea of Donald winning the 2016 presidential elections and now a book has been published detailing Melania’s reaction to becoming first lady.
Written by Michael Wolff, the book Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House alleges that Melania wept – not tears of joy the moment she heard Trump had won the presidency as he had promised her several times that he wasn’t going to win.
Responding to the allegations Melania’s communications director Stephanie Grisham said the allegations are pure fiction and have no truth to them.
“This book is clearly going to be sold in the bargain fiction section. Mrs. Trump supported her husband’s decision to run for president and in fact, encouraged him to do so. She was confident he would win and was very happy when he did.”
Also speaking out is Sarah Huckabee Sanders, the White House Press Secretary, who released a statement, saying, “This book is filled with false and misleading accounts from individuals who have no access or influence with the White House. Participating in a book that can only be described as trashy tabloid fiction exposes their sad desperate attempts at relevancy.”
America’s most social media savvy president, Donald Trump of course rose to his wife’s defence stating that he would not have run for presidency if he thought he would not win and his wife was always on board with him.
“Melania, our great and very hard working First Lady, who truly loves what she is doing, always thought that ‘if you run, you will win,’” Trump tweeted. “She would tell everyone that, ‘no doubt, he will win.’ I also felt I would win (or I would not have run) – and Country is doing great!”
